3D logo testing

t
the 3 logos on the bottom are using a 911 porscha font. i experimented with this font because it looks sleek and futuristic. the 2 logos with the ellipse seemed more visually appealing and creates a self identity for the product.

Prototyping Phase

The image above is exhibiting the sketch prototype and the final prototype. The following pictures are showing preparation for priming and painting. The visor concept was chosen because it provides the most visual experience without and distracting features that are on a pair of glasses. It ultimately extends your field of vision, reducing head movement needed to keep track of the 3D film.

Initial Concept Sketches

These sketches depict variations of design concepts. The top image is showing variation in clipping lens to current glasses frames and how it would sit on the consumer. The bottom image concentrates on form and functionality, providing material proposals and clip-on solutions.

Time Line

The inspiration for my time line came from the root of my problem & purpose statement: the movies. Movie reels are essentially time lines, frame by frame, second by second. The legend states the number of weeks, which days are Mondays, which ones are Wednesdays, and important deadlines throughout this 16 week semester.

Introduction

My name is Ryan. I'm currently a student at San Francisco State University. My major is Industrial Design with a concentration in product design & development.

A little about me. I love watching new and old cartoons. For as long as I remember, I love drawing cartoons as well. At a young age, I attended the Cartoon Art Museum for morning classes that discussed animation, flip-books, and character development. I've had one of my comic strips in the De Young Museum at age ten. I enjoy playing video games in my free time with friends, biking, and driving.

I draw inspiration from nature, life experiences, and artists that are able to communicate their emotions and imagination through the creative industry.

I'm strongly influenced by comics, fictional characters, and works by Salvador Dali, Alfons Mucha, and Greg Simkins. My personal art works draw inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Although, they're different styles, I find a balance between the styles.

I began my industrial design career in hopes of creating three dimensional objects from my imagination. I hope it leads me to a career in optical development. One of my dream jobs is working for Oakley, a company that specializes in extreme optical gear and sunglasses. I would love to share my visions with the world, not just by telling them, but also by showing them.

If I am able to sum up myself in one picture... Here you Go!
